Saturday, March 29th, 2008

Mom and Dad returned safely from their trip to England.

Dad uploaded over 200 photos this morning, and I just completed adding them to the photo gallery.

Be sure to check them out, there are some really cool shots in there.

Oh yah…Dad…when they make a “V” with their fingers…not so good…lol

2008 England Trip

Birmingham, Alabama

Wednesday, March 19th, 2008

Well, Barry is still snoring, and David is still in bed.

We are starting are day in Birmingham, Alabama today. This will be our longest day, with a total of 700km to cover before reaching our hotel.

Yesterday was a very good travel day, lots of cool caching, and some very beautiful areas travelled.

I’ll try to get some pictures uploaded to the site soon. In the interm, there are some pictures on my facebook account.

Memphis, Tennessee

Tuesday, March 18th, 2008

As I awoke this morning to the rumble of Barry snoring, I decided to take a few minutes of solitude and update the website.

The trip is going super, with many miles of spectacular sights, near misses, and weird things to recall.

We started in St.Louis on Sunday with a long flight, followed by a very busy day of geocaching. On Monday, we started from Mt.Vernon with a 550km trip to West Memphis, before calling it a day. Some highlights are:

  • visited the Gateway Arch (St.Louis, Missuori)
  • almost hit a deer (Dix, Illinois)
  • ate lunch at a real KFC (Paducah, Kentucky)
  • crossed the Mississippi river at high water (Tennessee-Missouri Border)

The list is much longer (honestly) but David is still in bed, and he has the log book with everything recorded in it.

btw…I have now realized that it is very hard to sleep with somebody who snores, even when they are across the room in a separate bed. Sorry Shannon :(

More snow :(

More snow :(

Everything was looking so nice, snow was melting, grass was green, etc…

Then it had to snow again.

The good news is that I’m off to St.Louis for a week, hope the snow is gone when I get back.

More snow...
