As I awoke this morning to the rumble of Barry snoring, I decided to take a few minutes of solitude and update the website.
The trip is going super, with many miles of spectacular sights, near misses, and weird things to recall.
We started in St.Louis on Sunday with a long flight, followed by a very busy day of geocaching. On Monday, we started from Mt.Vernon with a 550km trip to West Memphis, before calling it a day. Some highlights are:
- visited the Gateway Arch (St.Louis, Missuori)
- almost hit a deer (Dix, Illinois)
- ate lunch at a real KFC (Paducah, Kentucky)
- crossed the Mississippi river at high water (Tennessee-Missouri Border)
The list is much longer (honestly) but David is still in bed, and he has the log book with everything recorded in it.
btw…I have now realized that it is very hard to sleep with somebody who snores, even when they are across the room in a separate bed. Sorry Shannon
